Notifica was created by United We Dream, which claims to be, “the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the nation … made up of over 100,000 immigrant youth and allies and 55 affiliate organizations in 26 states”.

Called “Notifica”, the new app will allow illegal aliens to send a single notification to up to 15 people people at a time – like family members, an attorney or their boss – letting them know they’ve been apprehended by ICE.

Beginning on April 10, smart phone-wielding illegal immigrants will be able to download an app that will alert them of immigration raids conducted by USA authorities. Users will be able to select several telephone contacts, each with different predetermined messages, who will be notified immediately if they are detained, according to Fox News Tech.

Reyna emphasized the need among undocumented families to make emergency plans before being deported, especially if there are children involved.

Reyna says that the app is not created to prevent undocumented immigrants from being deported, but rather to give them the ability to safely contact family members (who may also be undocumented) and implement their emergency plans.

More than 8,000 people have pre-registered to download Notifica, which is set to be released for iOS and Android starting April 10.
