If you’re househunting and have been scrolling through page after page of tiny, claustrophobic studio flats, we’re sorry. But you need to see this. Everyone needs to see this, because it’s stunning.

The Playa Viva is a magical hotel made up of a collection of treehouses, all sitting on a beach just north of Acapulco. Which would be pretty magical in tself, considering we bloody love both treehouses and the beach. But what makes these treehouses particularly exciting is that they’re not just a shambles of a shed stuck on top of a tree.



They’re incredibly luxurious and entirely dreamy, complete with hammocks on balconies looking over the beach, huge beds, and fancy showers. They’re designed to create the experience of the freedom of being outdoors with the cosiness of the indoors.

The wood blends into natural surroundings. There are wide open doorways, with an open sitting room and incredible views.

Oh, and the treehouses are environmentally friendly, too. They’ve been made with bamboo and are supplied energy and hot water by solar power.

If you get bored of hanging out in a hammock inside a treehouse (seriously though, why would you?) you can explore the surrounding areas, complete with palm trees, a coastal forest, mangroves, an Aztec archeological site, and super pretty beaches.
