Kayaking Deep Underground Through Mexican Caves (Red Bull)

A group of adrenaline junkies made an unprecedented journey through some of Mexico’s most mysterious cave networks – by kayak.

The video, shot with the help of energy drinks giant and extreme sports sponsor Red Bull, shows Rafa Ortiz, Jared Meehan and Andrew Pollock head to southern Mexico to explore the fabled landscape.

Inhospitable terrain forces the three athletes to carry their boats down into the dark caves, lit up only by their small head torches.

But once they finally reach water, the trio are able to showcase their impressive skills.

Narrow channels turn into difficult, fast-moving rapids – but they are no match for the elite sportsmen who glide over the hazards with ease.
