Dozens of people were hurt in a dramatic explosion at a Tultepec fireworks market near Mexico City.
At least 60 people were injured in the explosion in Tultepec, which is about 25 miles from Mexico City, Mexico, according to CNN.
CNN said that fireworks are a major industry in that area of Mexico. The cause was not yet clear and damages were still being assessed for the December 20 explosion.
The AP said the market where the explosion occurred is the best known market in Mexico. According to the AP, the market is open air, and it was not yet clear whether there were any fatalities.
The videos and photos that circulated on social media from the scene were dramatic as the fireworks exploded into a large plume in the air. According to the AP, holidays in Mexico are often celebrated with fireworks, making it a profitable industry.
