Dramatic aerial images reveal the stark divide between the rich and poor who live just yards apart in Mexico City (Johnny Miller)

Mexico's extreme wealth inequality can be seen from above, with the mansions and slums often only separated by a wall or highway.

Photographer Johnny Miller captured the images from a helicopter in a bid to show the wildly different worlds sitting side by side.

In one stunning shot, thousands of cramped concrete houses can be seen stretching out into the distance in the sprawling Chimalhuacan and Ixtapalapa neighborhoods.

At least two million people live in these vast areas, which are often referred to as “slums” or “barrios”.

...Mexico is one of the most unequal countries in the world.

Almost half of the country’s wealth is concentrated in the hands of its elite one per cent, according to an Oxfam report in 2015.
