Just when many Americans would like to wipe their hands of this campaign season, a Spanish company has created bizarre tributes to the presidential candidates.

At least we think it’s a tribute, albeit a crappy one.

Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump now have pooping figurines in their own likenesses - just in time for Christmas.

The fecal figurines are called “caganers” and are part of a tradition dating back 200 years to Catalonia, in Spain’s northeastern region, according to Reuters.

The term “caganer” roughly translates as “pooper,” and it’s common for Nativity scenes in the region to feature a person defecating behind Mary and Joseph, according to TheLocal.es.

The public pooper isn’t meant to offend. It’s supposed to symbolize fertilization, and bring luck and prosperity in the coming year.
