Trump's trade policy with Mexico spurs concern over jobs (CBS Evening News)

The results of the presidential elections held today in the United States could force the modification of Mexico''s budget for 2017, warned legislator Francisco Martínez.

It is obvious that a triumph of Hillary Clinton would bring greater stability, but in another scenario, the situation would be very serious, said the president of the Political Coordination Board of the Chamber of Deputies.

In addition, Martínez, who is also the coordinator of the party of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD, in Spanish), said that there is the intention of the federal government to bring to the plenary this week the discussion and approval of the Expenditure Budget for the coming year, which is not well seen by the opposition.

With such a scenario, the deputy of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI, in Spanish), Jorge Carlos Ramirez, ruled out that there was a hurry to approve the budget.

He stressed that the exchange rate of the peso against the dollar, which will be established after the conclusion of the electoral process in the United States, will be decisive for the discussion regarding the budget during this week.
