Online racer registration is now officially open for November’s 49th SCORE Baja 1000, the iconic granddaddy of all desert races that is the season-finale of the four-race 2016 SCORE World Desert Championship.
Nearly 250 entries, from 25 countries and 40 U.S. States are expected to compete in this year’s 49th SCORE Baja 1000. The race week festivities will cover Nov. 15-20, with the race and all ancillary events starting and finishing in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
It will be a loop race this year of approximately 840 miles with the start line and finish line adjacent to the landmark Riviera del Pacifico Cultural Center in the heart of Ensenada and the first and last several spectator-friendly miles running up and back down the Ensenada Arroyo. This year marks the 42nd time the race will start in Ensenada and the 24th time that it will finish in Ensenada as well.
