A spectator who ran into the middle of a street to taunt a bull as it ran past him during a festival didn't realize there was a giant 900 pound one just behind him - which flipped him 10 feet in the air.

The man, thought to be in his early 20s, walked into the middle of the street as the annual bull running festival was taking place in Xico, Mexico.

He seemed to chase after one bull which had just run past and then stopped in the middle of the street - without realizing there was one running behind him.

The bull then smashed into him from behind and the man laid motionless in the street before a couple of the animals returned to attack his unconscious body.

He was seriously injured and bystanders who had gathered to the street to witness the annual festival could only stand and watch on in horror.
