National PRI Council Member Armando Barajas Ruiz asked the National Committee for Party Justice of the PRI [Party of the Institutional Revolution] to initiate a "disciplinary procedure" with a view to the expulsion of Javier Duarte, César Duarte and Roberto Borge from the party.
In a brief filed this week, the temporary suspension of their party rights and their subsequent expulsion was requested for the current governors of Veracruz, Quintana Roo and Chihuahua,
"once the conduct contravening the [PRI party's] basic documents is confirmed."
In the document, Barajas Ruiz explained that the governors showed lack of complete honesty and committed crimes in the exercise of public functions.
