Mexican officials have destroyed more than 17 tons of marijuana and other drugs.
The Procuraduría General de la República and the Secretaría de Defensa Nacional - the Mexican federal attorney general's office and the military - burned the marijuana in Tamaulipas, according to a news release.
Along with the marijuana, they destroyed cocaine and other illegal narcotics.
