Hundreds of people took to the streets of Mexico City over the weekend to protest against American multinational agrochemical and agricultural biotechnology giant Monsanto and against Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO).

The activists were protesting against Monsanto’s Genetically Modified Organisms products and the alleged monopoly that Monsanto has in the food supply market.

Saturday's march marked the fourth annual 'March against Monsanto.' The march took place in over 400 cities in more than 40 countries around the world.
