37.3 Million Mexicans Empowered to Vote in State Elections in June

A total of 37.3 million Mexicans are registered to vote in the 13 states of the country and in Mexico City where elections will be held on June 5.

The councilor President of the Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE), Lorenzo Cordova, affirmed that in this process is also included the election of 60 deputies that will form the Constitutive Assembly of the City of Mexico.

He added that the register to be used in the election of the Constitutive assembly is composed by seven million 481 thousand 591 citizens.

Aguascalientes, Baja California, Chihuahua, Durango, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Zacatecas are the Mrexican states to hold elections on Sunday, June 5 according to data published by news media.

According to reports of INE, Mexicans will attend the polling stations to select 12 governors and over three thousand posts elected by the people.
