The Mexican Ministry of Health reported 9,164 cases and 524 deaths in the current flu season (autumn 2015 to spring 2016).

A report says that 4,134 cases corresponded to influenza AH1N1, while 2,783 to AH3N2, a total of 1,845 to type B and 402 to type A.

In the case of the deaths, 398 were for influenza AH1N1, 59 due to AH3N2, 45 because of the influenza type B and 22 due to type A.

The states with the highest number of confirmed cases during the 2015-2016 season are Mexico City, State of Mexico, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Jalisco.

The report adds that states with the highest number of deaths from this disease are Mexico, Veracruz, Jalisco, Puebla and Hidalgo.
