Wildfires have engulfed forests in the mountains of Tepoztlan, a town not far from Mexico’s capital.
The fires started early last week, apparently as the result of farmers burning weeds to prepare the area for planting.
The Mexican government has mobilized the army, police, conservation teams, and helicopters to battle the fire in hard to reach mountain areas.
