An original look at how prostitutes in Mexico City survive – this is the idea behind ‘Plaza de la Soledad,’ a documentary currently being released by Mexican photographer Maya Goded.
In her debut as a director, she showcases a treasure trove of images and video collected over 20 years of photographic portraits shot in the neighborhood of La Merced, a symbol of the sex trade in the Mexican capital.
