Abril and Uriel, separated by the US-Mexico border wall, journey from southern California and Tijuana to spend time together as a family as best they can. Their son Julián must get to know his father through the steel bars and mesh. Through their weekly ritual their struggles with US immigration are revealed, and at the wall they discover they are not alone.
