Mexican Agency and NASA to Construct Mini Satellites Alma Rueda - Riviera Maya News

The Mexican Space Agency (Agencia Espacial Mexicana — AEM) and the Ames Research Center of NASA will be expanding their program to include new Mexican students during 2016.

As part of the expansion, CEO of AEM, Javier Mendieta Jiménez and the director of NASA-AMES, Eugene L. Tu, agreed to develop a set of miniaturized satellites to strengthen both their partnership and spatial development in Mexico as part of their 2016 agenda.

The Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) released a statement saying they will also being collaborating on projects to develop space applications dissemination of satellite imagery for early public warning against possible natural disasters.

“NASA wants to increase interactions with AEM in larger projects in space science and exploration,” said Eugene L. Tu, by endorsing their willingness to cooperate between the two space agencies.
