State Authorities to Issue Alert Warning About Violence Against Women in Jalisco Prensa Latina

There is systematic violence against women in the Mexican state of Jalisco, said a report that was presented to the state government this week.

The diagnosis was made by an inter-institutional multi-academic group, and based on its results, the state authorities will issue an alert of violence against women in the coming days.

According to the study, since 2012, when 154 murders of women were recorded, there is still a constant situation and the number of violent deaths has not been less than 130 cases in later years.

Violence is especially concentrated in the municipalities of Guadalajara, Zapopan, Tlaquepaque, Tonala, Tlajomulco, El Salto, Puerto Vallarta and Ameca.
