Mexican specialists presented the new antiretroviral therapy denominated Dolutegravir, of GSK pharmaceutical laboratory, to treat patients diagnosed with HIV-AIDS, a disease in which about 180,000 people are suffering in the country.
At a news conference, Luis Enrique Soto, head of the Infectious Diseases Department at the "Salvador Zubiran" National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition, said life expectation of patients with HIV-AIDS, especially when they come in very early stages, is very high.
However, Soto stated that this disease can not be cured, so a safe and responsible sexuality is required.
