A video released by the Mexico's attorney general's office shows authorities burning more than 25 tons of marijuana, cocaine and psychotropic pills at two sites in Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo.
Authorities destroyed more than 22 tons of marijuana in Reynosa along with cocaine and pills connected with 65 cases in Matamoros, Miguel Alemán and Reynosa, according to a news release from the attorney general's office.
More than 1,700 pounds of counterfeit clothing and contraband were also burned at the Reynosa site, a shooting range near the Reynosa-San Fernando highway.
Authorities also set fire to more than three tons of marijuana and a small amount of cocaine in Nuevo Laredo.
