100% snow messages around Chicago to remind the freezing masses that it's always sunny in Mexico #snowgraffitiMX. (lapizusa)
Mexico’s ministry of tourism has launched a new graffiti art campaign in the snowy streets of Chicago to promote Mexico as the tropical paradise where winter-weary gringos can go to take their clothes off in the sun.
The country’s tourism board commissioned a series of creative snow graffiti messages and launched a promotional video with the help of Spanish artist NosE Lanariz, who plastered his icy creations throughout some of Chicago’s most emblematic streets.
The campaign uses four catchy slogans: “Take your clothes off”; “Come melt under the sun”; “Beaches with sand this white”; and “Mexico: always a warm welcome.”
Mexico’s tourism board has also launched Twitter hashtag #snowgraffittiMX to encourage U.S. tourists to escape to the tropical rays south of the border.
