Dreamworks Animation New Jersey Theme Park 2014 (Dreamworks)

Pristine beaches and beautiful year-round weather are attracting more than just tourists. US sources say that DreamWorks Studios is all set to build a theme park in Mexico’s popular Riviera Maya.

The Foundation for Investment in the Riviera Maya (La Fundación para La Inversión de la Riviera Maya) has confirmed the progress and says that they are in the negotiating stages with DreamWorks Studios to build an amusement park.

The park will cover a span of 10 hectares and include its popular Hollywood characters such as Madagascar, Antz, Shark Tale, Puss in Boots and the all-loving green monster, Shrek.

Sources say that the park will be modeled from the current DreamWorks Park outside of New York and will bear all the typical attractions including restaurants, commercial spaces, theaters and aquatic attractions. Dining areas and commercial shops will also be modeled from the beloved animated characters.
