Women's Aid has launched an interactive billboard to raise awareness about domestic abuse. It depicts a woman with a badly bruised face and the message: 'Look at me'. As more and more people view the screen, the woman's injuries slowly begin to heal. The ad aims to raise awareness about domestic violence.
It's the first of its kind in the UK and works using facial recognition technology. As members of the public look at the screen, their faces will appear on the bottom of the ad in a live feed.
A visual ticker-tape will run across the advert, registering the increasing number of people who have stopped to take in the image of the bruised women. As more people take notice, the woman's bruises will slowly heal.
The idea is to demonstrate that we can all make tangible changes in the fight against domestic violence.
