The Hispanic population in the United States is expected to reach 119 million by 2060, more than double what it is today, according to new U.S. Census Bureau population projections.
Hispanics have been one of the nation’s fastest-growing populations in recent decades. Today, an estimated 55 million Latinos live in the United States and make up 17 percent of the U.S. population. By 2060, an estimated 29 percent of the U.S. population is expected to be Hispanic.
