Presentación de Citizenfour y conversación con Julian Assange (Centro de Cultura Digital )

During a Feb. 2 screening of the Edward Snowden documentary Citizenfour at Mexico City’s Ambulante film festival, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange made a video conference appearance to express his support for the missing students, talk about the film and answer questions from the audience.

In the first part of Assange’s address, which is available only in audio, he thanked the Mexican student movement for supporting him and Wikileaks’ “fight for freedom of information and honest media.”

“The situation with the 43 students in Mexico who went missing just is something I sympathize with, but I also think it’s a very tragic human story that has also become a political story in Mexico and it’s something that can be harnessed politically by Mexicans to drive particular types of reforms that they want to see pushed forward,” Assange told the audience.
