Interior Secretary Miguel Angel Osorio Chong (mmspress.com.mx)

OCOYOACAC, State of Mexico - Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, Secretary of Government Relations [SEGOB], revealed to senators of the PRI [Party of the Institutional Revolution] results of the investigation conducted by Attorney General's Office (PGR) into the 43 students of Ayotzinapa.

[Osorio Chong also announced that] the federal government sent the Army, Marines and Federal Police to Guerrero, because additional violent incidents perpetrated by "radical groups" are not going to be tolerated. He stressed that there will not be any more seized tollbooths or blocked highways: "We are going to act with determination and firmness to enforce the rule of law."

During a private meeting with PRI legislators - content of which was disseminated throughout the night - Osorio Chong insisted that they are not going to tolerate groups "recognized long ago as radicals in Guerrero. They continue taking advantage of the Ayotzinapa tragedy in order to mobilize and commit excesses like burning vehicles and facilities."

Osorio Chong said that in tandem with Attorney General Jesús Murillo Karam's announcement of the results of the investigation ..., the federal government sent to Guerrero "as many Army, Navy and Federal Police troops as you can guess."
