THE WORLD IS WATCHING: students from 43 countries in solidarity with Ayotzinapa (Boston for Ayotzinapa)

Today more than 40 cities worldwide and more than a score of cities inside Mexico will hold the eighth Global Day for Ayotzinapa and Mexico, which will include four simultaneous marches in Mexico City, which will converge on the Zócalo [Mexico City's main plaza].

This day in the country's capital is carried out a proposal by the parents of the disappeared students, with the intention of making a "symbolic occupation of the city", an action that will have the support of teachers from the Nacional Coordinating Council of Education Workers (CNTE) and the State Coordinating Committee of Education Workers of Guerrero [CETEG].

The four marches will depart at 10:00 a.m. from the Zaragoza, Taxqueña, Auditorio Nacional and Indios Verdes Metro Stations.

At 4:00 p.m., with the participation of other social groups and university student organizations, relatives of the normal school students will set out for the Zócalo from the Auditorio Nacional Metro Station.

This new day of solidarity and protest, which takes place four months after the disappearance of the 43 students at the Rural Normal School of Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, is to demand the appearance of the students and punishment of those responsible, as well as the immediate and unconditional release of all "political prisoners".
