Families of missing Mexican students demand new lines of investigation (teleSUR)

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) will send a group of international experts to Mexico to assist with the investigations of the 43 missing students from Ayotzinapa, Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Saturday.

...The new international team of specialists will have the authority to develop new search plan for the disappeared students – starting from the assumption that the students are still alive – analyze the research to determine criminal liability, and evaluate the care plan for victims of the events.

The team of experts will include: lawyers Francisco Cox, an expert in constitutional law from Chile; Claudia Paz y Paz, an expert in criminal law from Guatemala; Angela Buitrago, specializing in criminal sciences, and Alejandro Valencia Villa, an expert in human rights from Colombia. Also participating with be Spanish doctor Carlos Beristain, a specialist in health education.
