Protestors Ensure Mexico's President Will Not Forget Those Who Disappeared in 2015 (Euronews)
In the last three months the disappearance of the 43 students of Ayotzinapa teachers training college in Guerrero mobilized families, students, activists and artists from at least 17 Mexican states and 21 countries. And protests have not decreased with time.
Starting on October 2, five days after the disappearance of the students was confirmed, there have been 44 public protests in Mexico and abroad to express outrage for the case and demand that those responsible for the collective crime are punished.
...Perseo Quiroz, director of Amnesty International in Mexico, believes that the case has triggered an unprecedented national mobilization and that outrage has also been expressed in other countries.
He added that Amnesty International perceives a disturbing strategy by the federal government to wait for public opinion to forget about the issue over time, "but we will stay put until there is justice, truth and compensation," Quiroz said.
