People are speaking out on social media against the Los Angeles Dodgers' decision to have Adrian Gonzalez present Mexico president Enrique Peña Nieto with a specialized jersey this week. The gift and photo op come while families wait for closure and others stage protests and hold vigils following 43 teaching students going missing after a confrontation with police in late September. The police have cartel ties and the students are presumed dead.

Peña Nieto's approval rating had just hit a new low last week. Fox News Latino reports: "Just nine months after Peña Nieto appeared on the cover of Time magazine with the headline "Saving Mexico," scandals and crises have pushed his approval rating down to around 40 percent."

Mexican-American cartoonist Lalo Alcaraz jumped into the fray, altering the jersey’s number to 43.
