Trailer for Los Traficantes with English subtitles (Adam Watson)
Los Traficantes is a drama based on the true story of Esteban Mendoza. The film reveals how Esteban, the former leader of a Tijuana drug cartel, found his faith and redemption while serving a 33 year sentence inside La Mesa Federal Prison, the most corrupt prison in all of Mexico. World Magazine said about the movie, “From 2006 to 2012, drug-related violence has killed more than 60,000 people, terrorized towns, and corrupted politicians. But the film Los Traficantes tells a hopeful story amid all the sorrow.”
Los Traficantes was produced by Kurt Tuffendsam through his company Mission Rise, Inc., and directed by Adam Watson, in his feature film debut. Regarding the positive effects the film’s message imparts, Producer Kurt Tuffendsam said, “Millions have been affected by drug abuse and the drug trade in Mexico. This movie gives audiences the chance to see how one man's story can inspire a movement for change.”
