Is the local comedor or neighborhood taco stand looking pretty quiet these days? The cook is busy but no one’s eating?

Some multinational companies certainly see value in this new system, essentially a glorified form of takeout. The food delivery app Foodpanda, which has the backing of Germany-based Rocket Internet, the world’s largest venture capital firm focused on e-commerce, has just purchased three Mexican food delivery services from another multinational, Delivery Hero.
Those services are PedidosYa and SeMeAntoja, which among them work with a few thousand restaurants around the country.
Say you’re feeling peckish: you navigate to SeMeAntoja, select your state, city and neighborhood, or alternatively a list of “the best restaurants” in one of several locations. Up comes a list of restaurants; filter it if you like from a selection that ranges from tacos and tortas to hamburgers and salads.
