The elder statesman of Mexico's main leftist party, Cuauhtemoc Cardenas, said on Sunday the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) was on the verge of falling apart after a series of mistakes and the disappearance of 43 students in a state it runs in the southwest of the country.
