Father Alejandro Solalinde said that the government does not care about Mexicans, much less about those who are not from here.

According Catholic priest Alejandro Solalinde, since 2006 more than 10,000 immigrants have been reported as missing in Mexico and the government does not care about it. “They don’t care about Mexicans, much less about those who are not from here,” expressed the founder of the shelter “Migrants on the Road” (Migrantes en el Camino),

Solalinde presented the short film entitled “The Shelter” (El Albergue), during the International Movie Festival of Sonora, and said that the Ayotzinapa case is just the tip of the iceberg of what is happening in Mexico.

“They are not the only disappeared. There are more parents, more families, more mothers looking for their children. Let me just tell you that in the shelters, since 2006, we have registered the disappearance of immigrants,” he said.
