A majority of adults want wearable devices in their workplace, a survey conducted by Harris Poll for The Workforce Institute at Kronos revealed. The study also found that Mexico and China topped the overall wearable acceptance, while noting differences in perception and use of wearable technologies across the world.

Researchers estimate that the enterprise wearables market will reach 455 million devices by 2019, generating $46.5 billion of revenue worldwide. Currently, 73 per cent of adults believe wearable technologies could benefit the workplace by increasing efficiency, productivity, or safety. Globally, workers cited smart headphones, smartwatches, and arm or wrist computing devices as the most useful in their workplaces.

...A whopping 82 per cent of adults in India and Mexico, and 81 per cent in China, have ever worn technologies such as headsets, smart badges and barcode scanners for work-related activities, as have more than half (56 per cent) of adults in Germany. Only 20 per cent of United States, 38 per cent of Great Britain, 43 per cent of Australia, and 45 per cent of France adults have used a wearable device for work-related activities.
