Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in Mexico’s capital to protest against the Mexican government’s inability to find out the fate of 43 missing students.
The protesters, who were accompanied by the parents of the missing students, held a massive demo in Mexico City on Wednesday, carrying the students’ pictures and chanting “They took them away alive, and alive we want them back.”
Another demonstration was also held in Chilpancingo, the capital of the Mexican state of Guerrero, where the students disappeared two months ago after clashes with the local police.
The angry protesters blocked all the three highways leading to Chilpancingo for several hours.
The students went missing on September 26 in the southern city of Iguala following an attack by police forces suspected of having links to drug gangs.
