AYOTZINAPA, Guerrero - Parents of the 43 still missing Ayotzinapa normal school students erupted against the federal government and warned that if they are given no information on the whereabouts of their sons this week, they will take the lead in the search.
"The federal government is finishing off our patience and playing with the pain of the victims" charged a man who only identified himself as a grieving father who is willing to die, if necessary, to find his son.
In a press conference held Monday evening at the Normal School, student leaders and parents criticized the unwillingness of the administration of Enrique Peña Nieto to locate the missing students and described the attitude of the authorities as "inhuman".
Therefore, they demanded that, by this Friday, the Attorney General, Jesús Murillo Karam, provide specific information as to the whereabouts of the students. Otherwise, the parents announced that they are going to search for their children, given the criminal neglect of the government.
"I'm not going leave the Normal School until our sons return," said another parent, who has spent over a month living in Ayotzinapa.
