Mexican students rallied on Friday demanding that the Mexican authorities find alive the 43 students from Ayotzinapa Teacher Training College, that disappeared on September 26 in the city of Iguala, Guerrero. The students announced that they will call for a national strike to protest on November 5.

Some 2,500 students from various universities rallied in Mexico City to the offices of the Secretary of the Interior, protesting against the Mexican authorities who have not yet found the missing students.

“The attack against Ayotzinapa is the hardest evidence of repression and brutality. The rural teachers have refused to disappear, and the government has attacked the students' social movements.” said Atzelby Hernandez, one of the protestors' leaders, after the march, according to Mexican newspaper El Siglo de Durango.

The students said that on November 5 more than 85 universities will strike as a protest, to make “the Mexican State fall to its knees.”

The students also said that as part of the protests they will march that day from the Presidential residence to Mexico main square.
