Over the last 14 years, two million Mexicans have been displaced from their home due to violence, the local newspaper Uno Mas Uno reported on Sunday.

The newspaper says that organized crime has spread fear, extortion, kidnapping and killings during the said period, in which two million people left the country or moved from home.

"All this to be safe and protect their families," the newspaper stresses.

The states of Michoacan, Guerrero, Nuevo Leon, Jalisco, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa, Baja California, Tamaulipas, Durango, Chihuahua and Mexico are the most violent regions in Mexico in terms of victims of violence and displaced people.

The article stresses that although movements due to violence by organized crime have decreased, it is still a great concern and a frightening situation, as evidenced by the execution of at least 70,000 people during the administration of former President Felipe Calderon.
