Cantinflas Official US Release Trailer (2014) - Michael Imperioli Movie (Film Festivals and Indie Films)

Eleven years after his death, Cantinflas returned to the top of the cinema box offices in Mexico, where the film directed by Sebastián del Amo is today a success.

The Mexican audience disregarded several bad reviews of the film, some controversy with the script and the fact that the legendary Mario Moreno was played by a Spaniard who filled movie theaters.

A week later, Cantinflas is more popular than other releases, mostly of Hollywood, with about 60 million pesos of income (just over four million dollars) and more than 1 million 220 thousand tickets.

The film tells the story of the iconic humorous character, Cantinflas, and his creator, Fortino Mario Alfonso Moreno Reyes, who after his death in 1993 left a legacy of over 50 films and a Golden Globe awarded in 1956.
