Watch and listen to how easily this traditional song travels the globe uniting musicians, rhythms and cultures and takes us to the place where we all united people finding our way through the music. (Playing For Change)
David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos, La Marisoul and artists in Mexico, Argentina, Mali and Congo strum and sing through "La Bamba," the Mexican folk song adapted and made popular by teenaged L.A. rocker Ritchie Valens and the 1987 biopic about his life and death. It's produced by the nonprofit Playing for Change, which was founded in Los Angeles to "inspire and connect the world through music."
