On the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence just how much does the average American know about the workings of the country? How much do you know?

As part of the process of becoming a U.S. citizen, immigrants must take a Naturalization Test. They are asked 10 questions about the United States and they must answer six correctly to pass the test. The test is an oral one, given by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and does not include multiple choice answers as the practice test below does.

You must answer 15 questions correctly to pass the test.
