Illegal wildlife poachers will put themselves out of business if current trends continue. When that day comes, it means the last wild rhino horn and the last elephant tusks have been collected, our jungles have been emptied, our savannahs gutted.

Now, though, a new non-profit website allows you to play a role in combatting wildlife crime, simply by reporting it. Called WildLeaks, the site lets users anonymously report instances of wildlife poaching, trafficking, or illegal logging – crimes that flourish in areas where it’s often difficult our dangerous to report them. WildLeaks is backed by the Elephant Action League and its goal is to facilitate the investigation and prosecution of those responsible for robbing the planet of its natural resources. At the site, you can upload documents, photos, videos and observations securely and remotely, with the option of using the Tor anonymity network.

After tips are submitted, they’ll be evaluated and validated by an international team of investigators.
