Free-diver William Winram says Guadalupe Island, 260km off the coast of Mexico is the best place on the planet to see great whites.
"It has the best visibility, and the most animals of all great white diving spots," he says.
The sheer volcanic island rises from the clear deep waters of the Pacific Ocean, with between 38m and 45m of consistent visibility for divers.
A breeding site for a number of seal and sea lion species, the sharks visit the island between July and January each year.
Given its remoteness, diving in Guadalupe is typically a multi-day excursion; you'll live on board the dive boat between cage dives.
