Alicia and Errin, owners of locally owned business En Forma Sayulita, talk about their business and personal backgrounds in this exclusive interview.

Can you tell me a bit about yourselves and your business?

Alicia grew up in San Francisco and I grew up in Australia and after meeting in Laos in 1999 we have spent the last 20+ years building careers and a family in the San Francisco Bay Area. We came to Sayulita in 2020 after our event businesses were shut down due to Covid and we needed somewhere more affordable to survive until our industry returned. En Forma Sayulita provides a one stop resource for all wellness related happenings in Sayulita. We provide a live calendar of all wellness activities in Sayulita and the surrounding areas as well as educational resources on the different types of wellness available. Many people are not familiar with powerful healing tools such as breathwork, reiki, shamanism, soundbaths, to name just a few. Our website looks to demystify the mystic and holistic practices used by generations of native cultures by explaining them in everyday terms.

What inspired you to start your business?

Covid! After arriving in town and learning of all the wellness options available in Sayulita we tried to take advantage of them but couldn't find reliable information or schedules. We quickly realized that the area needed a more organized source of information for people like us in need of healing. As we near the end of this world wide pandemic, we need to heal, we need to find connection to others and within ourselves. Wellness is something that needs to be accessible to everyone so our goal is to educate and promote wellness for both the good of the greater community and to create a safe place for healers to promote their gifts.

What is your process for creating specialized services for your clients?

Our goal is to create a platform for qualified healers to suit where they currently are in their professional lives, with an assortment of packages and services. We personally work with each client to make sure that they are in the right package to promote and grow their business based on their needs and desires. As for our calendar subscribers, we strive to maintain current and reliable class schedules and available wellness options here in Sayulita so that they can be assured that they are well educated and confident in the services they are booking.

What services do you provide?

We provide a wellness content marketing platform which gives qualified healers/practitioners a place to showcase their services and a place where people can go to find those services.

What can guests expect from your offered experiences?

By advertising their services on our website, practitioners and studios/clinics can expect more exposure for their businesses both locally and, more importantly, to visitors abroad who are looking to travel to the area and utilize their services. They will be able to focus more on their skillset and leave the marketing and advertising to us. For people who are using our calendar to find out what wellness options are available, they can expect to find pre-qualified practitioners and businesses who offer high quality services that will deliver a great experience.
