The Puerto Vallarta region is home to a host of bird diversity with over 300 species within just an hour or so from downtown Puerto Vallarta and over 500 species within a five-hour drive from here!

We hope you plan to join us at the beautiful Vallarta Botanical Gardens for our Bird and Nature Festival 2019 on March 8, 9 and 10.

Admission to the Gardens is 200 pesos per day or 500 pesos for all three days. Children 4 years of age and under have free admission.

All Tours and Workshops will have both Spanish and English speakers and guides. Check out the available tours outside the Gardens priced from 600 to 1000 pesos.

Adult Sketching Workshops are priced at 300 pesos (ages 12 and up) and Children's Sketching Workshop is free for ages 8-12.

Tours are paid directly to the Tour Guide and may be arranged upon your arrival.

The Vallarta Bird and Nature Festival is volunteer-propelled. Our proceeds this year will help purchase and install a Military Macaw Nest Box in honor of Pat Morrow and Karen Pitts Stubenvoll at the Macaw Sanctuary.

Our goal and mission is to spark awareness for birds and nature and to inspire people to act to conserve birds and nature for its ability to enrich our lives.

We are fortunate to have as our host, the Vallarta Botanical Garden, a nonprofit charitable organization that relies on the contributions of their members and donors to sustain this natural sanctuary, continue much needed conservation projects, and further their outreach to the Puerto Vallarta region’s community. Please visit Vallarta Botanical Gardens for information about membership and donations.

The Vallarta Botanical Gardens is surrounded by the beautiful bird-rich mountain landscape of Cabos Corrientes, and are located 24 km (15 miles) south of Puerto Vallarta. The Garden is easily accessible by bus, car, taxi, or Uber. Travel to the Garden from Old Town Puerto Vallarta takes approximately 30 minutes. The bus to El Tuito can be caught in Old Town on the corner of Venustiano Carranza and Aguacate.
