Following is just an overview of all the events and festivities happening this week in Vallarta-Nayarit.

Helen Hong at the Red Room - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 
 
Direct from New York, Stand-up comedienne, Helen Fong. Star of LOGO TV's SETUP SQUAD and Wanda Sykes' HERLARIOUS. Helen's adorable stage presence and mischievous point of view have landed her on The Huffington Post’s Favorite Female Comedians list and a profile in The New York Times. She’s been featured on Fuse, E!, TLC and PBS.

Simply Barbra at The Palm - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 

Steven Brinberg is an acclaimed vocalist and impressionist who is best known for being the premier impersonator of music legend Barbra Streisand. He literally appears to transform into her, both physically and vocally, in an extraordinary musical experience. So much more than a garden-variety drag performer, his professional performances on stage include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, and on Broadway in a benefit production of Funny Girl, featuring Whoopi Goldberg. Steven also enjoyed a very successful run at The Palm Cabaret and Bar last season, where he was met with rave reviews.

Steven is thrilled to return to Puerto Vallarta and The Palm with the talented Chris Denny, who will accompany him at the piano. Performances of Simply Barbra will be in the evenings through January 7th, 2015. All shows begin at 7:00 pm except for the January 7 show at 9:30 pm.

Sinergiarte Festival in San Pancho, Nayarit - Monday through Sunday 

The Colectivo San Pancho proudly enjoys the return of the hugely successful Sinergiarte Festival, December 20-28. This remarkable artists’ venue has seen over 10 seasons of concerts, art shows and exhibitions and continues to grow each year.

Walk Like a Man at Act II Main Stage - Tuesday and Wednesday
 
Walk Like A Man pays tribute to hugely popular New Jersey-based recording stars Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.

The show features 23 year old singing sensation Paul Fracassi, a former Star Search and Canadian Idol semi-finalist and graduate of Toronto’s famous St. Elizabeth School for The Performing Arts. His vocal range and showmanship are always a big hit.

Walk Like a Man will be presented on the Main Stage of Act II Entertainment at 8:00 pm.

Christmas Eve Toy Distribution Invitation from Bucerias Christmas for Kids - Wednesday 

Un gran abrazo (a huge hug) and big thank you to all of the wonderful folks who wrapped over 1,200 gifts, bagged 100 kilos of candy, and put together nearly 200 Crown Royal bags full of small lotions and shampoos at Santa’s workshop last Friday.

All this to be given away by Santa to the children of Bucerias on December 24!!

….And speaking of December 24th: everyone is invited to view the gift distribution at the little Catholic church, Virgen de Guadalupe, at approximately 3:00 pm on Wednesday, Christmas Eve.

Christmas Dinner at Casa Cupula - Thursday

While the weather outside may be frightful where you are, Christmas dinner in Puerto Vallarta offers a comfortably breezy evening under the stars.

Our own Taste Restaurant will once again host a fabulous Christmas dinner on Thursday evening, December 25 beginning at 7:00 pm.

LuminiaFest Fireworks & Concerts - Thursday  through Sunday 

Puerto Vallarta will be the host of the 2014 Fireworks Festival, which takes place from 25th to 31st December.

Kicking off the Festival at 9:30 pm on Christmas evening will be spectacular Fireworks displays.

The majority of the events this year will take place at the Municipal Sports Stadium Agustin Flores Contreras (across from the Sheraton).

Southside Shuffle - Friday 

Take a stroll down Basilio Badillo every other Friday for art, jewelry, fashion, collectibles, restaurants, food, drinks, live music and fun.

Over eighteen Shops, Galleries & Restaurants open their doors for the return of the Friday evening Southside Shuffle in Old Town Vallarta.

This is one of Vallarta's more festive events and the party runs from 6:00 to 10:00 pm and features live music, cocktails and all kinds of great stuff.

Southside Shuffle dates are December 26; January 9 & 23, February 6 & 20, March 6 & 20.

Waterside Art Show Nuevo Vallarta - Saturday

For the fourth consecutive year the Saturday Waterside Art Shows along the Marina Nuevo Vallarta boardwalk are being set up, ready to present local art all throughout the high season in order to reinforce cultural tourism in the Riviera Nayarit.

Every Saturday from 9:00 am to noon there will be a lineup of mostly local artists preparing painting and sculpture installations, thus creating a tourist attraction for the region.

Voice of Vallarta Competition - Sunday 

Act II Entertainment has spent the summer and after hundreds of auditions they have narrowed the field to 24 of the best.

The reality show competition season opener was on December 7 and will continue every Sunday at 8:00 pm until the big closing night on April 19, 2015 hosted once again by Juan Pablo Hernandez who turns SPANGLISH into an art form!

Farmers Markets in Vallarta-Nayarit - Every day of the week 

You'll see on our Events Calendar that there is at least one Farmers Market every day of the week in different locations around the Bay.
