Although you are visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mexico or even making it your home, there are certain traditions you don't want to lose.

For many expats and members of American Legion, Veteran's Day is one of those traditions as is Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day or Armistice Day) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries since the end of World War I to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

This day, or alternative dates, is also recognized as special days for war remembrances in many non-Commonwealth countries. Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November to recall the end of hostilities of World War I on that date in 1918.

To honor service members of the U.S. and Canadian armed forces the American Legion is organizing a Veteran's / Remembrance memorial on November 11th.

The event will take place at Steve's Sports Bar on Basilio Badillo in Old Town Vallarta at 10:00 am. There will be a small parade as well as music and time for remembrance.

The American Legion Post 14 has been organizing this event for two years now and turnout keeps improving.
