Boutique Dinner Theatre PV Announces Lineup for 2014-2015 Season Ken Sebryk - Boutique Theater

We are back! After last summers heart wrenching closing of our beloved Boutique Performing Arts Center at Naranjo and Basilio Badillo in Old Town Vallarta, Sean and Tammy from Nacho Daddy stepped up and offered us the upstairs room at their Mex-Tex restaurant at 287 Basilio Badillo. After extensive renovations which included enclosing the famous upstairs room with the tree through it and adding air conditioning, the Boutique Theatre is ready to entertain its many patrons pleasure.

Dinner and a show are priced at 375 pesos with front row tables at 425 pesos. A choice of beef fillet, chicken or vegetarian highlight the 3 course meal. Dinner starts at 6:00 pm and show starts at 7:00 pm. For night owls we have Wednesday night shows only starting at 9:00 pm. Tickets for show only are 175 pesos.

The season kicks off on November 7th with NUNSENSE - ON VACATION IN VALLARTA! This hugely popular comedy follows five nuns on vacation who are trying to raise money to bury a Sister who drowned riding a banana boat! Directed by Federico Fonseca this is the first musical of the year.

Following NUNSENSE is a limited engagement return of last years hit JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. Having the whole show performed by only 6 actors is something to see. Book early as this show will sell out quickly.

Bob Tansen will be bringing CALYPSO night back for a show in November and again in December. Known throughout Vallarta, Bob and his band give a raucous performance.

Next up will be PUCK'S MIDSUMMER DREAM an adaptation by Karrie Sebryk of Shakespeare's famous play. With a tree growing in the middle of the theatre you can guess how this one will be staged! An excellent fanciful family play to bring your Christmas holiday visitors to see.

Starting off the new year laughing with the classic Neil Simon's THE ODD COUPLE - FEMALE VERSION directed by Catherine Beeghly. How wired can 4 women be? Come and find out.

Later in the season Boutique Theatre will be presenting ART directed by David Guilmette. What is all the fuss over a painting? David will also be hosting THE ASYLUM IMPROV COMEDY SHOW every second Tuesday throughout the season. Starting at 7:00 pm this live action show will test you as an audience to see what wild theatrics you can get the actors to do. Admission is 100 pesos.

THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES will also be directed by David Guilmette and is scheduled for February 12 to 14 to coincide with the international day.

WHOSE AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOLFE? won accolades for its author David Mamet and for the screen version of this disturbing play about unrelenting love story. By no means a comedy this serious statement about unfulfilled lives will make you examine yours. Directed by Karrie Sebryk the story unfolds as the intensity rises.

TIME 2 play will host an OPEN MIC show on the last Wednesday of the month. This popular ensemble is known for drawing out new talent and showcasing them in a warm, receptive audience. Donations from this venue go towards the operating costs of Boutique Theatre.
